EP 23 - Patrick Gnerlich

Episode Summary

Introducing the one and only Patrick Gnerlich! WARNING: This episode was previously recorded and discusses mental health fairly in depth so listening discretion is advised. We get really deep into how men in America today need to be able to be self aware and assist themselves in getting mental health assistance where needed. Whether that lies in getting diagnosed, going to therapy, checking yourself in for drug use or suicide, it's always worth getting help wherever you may find it. Even if that assistance is found in friendships and relationships that are close by. We discuss how in those relationships in moments of weakness, that we need to be comfortable about talking about mental health from male to male in this society. Discussing how people have so many hurdles in American health care systems and work places, with not only one's self, but also their children when it is needed. Understanding that having the access to resources for mental health should be more easily accessible in this country. Talking about mental health and keeping your head in a good space is something that is a life long journey, and not a cure or destination. Have a reflective time listening to the personal instances that happen to both Patrick and Jonathan and how they deal with their day to day in their own mental health when it comes to family, coping mechanisms, depression, ADHD, work places, therapy sessions, cheating, and even suicide. This episode will feels like a cold bath, a little shocking at first, but feels good to the body in the end. Get some of that Homegrown in ya!
